2021-10-29 Completed JetExec 100 hr maintenance. Re-shimmed main rotor hub from 0.008" to 0.0004" TIR, with noticeable improvement in main rotor smoothness!
2021-10-15 Replaced RW and KISS bearings with AMI UKX10+HE2310 and taller aluminum thrust tube. With the new, tighter taper-lock inner race, main rotor shaft runout at the hood bracket is now only 0.0002" TIR!
2021-09-24 Added AMI HE2310 taper-lock to tighten top end of MRGB spool on mainshaft.
2021-09-02 Drawing of current setup with stock RotorWay Fafnir top bearing and KISS thrust bearing (on left) shows that 1° hood bracket/flange tilt causes KISS bearing to lock with the Fafnir inner race. Want to replace these with the AMI taper-lock bearing and longer thrust tube shown at right.
2021-08-24 On earlier flight, noticed occasional slight main rotor vibration. Investigated, found that Rotorway top bearing, KISS thrust bearing and thrust tube were all spinning on mainshaft?
